Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny nr 14 w Krakowie is a state-owned semi-urban middle-sized complex of a nursery and a primary school situated in Poland’s second big city. Being the cradle of Polish history and culture, Krakow is also a modern business and educational centre with numerous universities and students from all over the world.

The education cycle is divided in 2 stages:

  • nursery (pupils aged 3-5)

  • primary (7-15)

In our school there are no more than two classes at each year, each with 15-25 pupils in. There are less than 320 students at all levels of education taught by approx. 35 teachers. There are around 12 members of administrative and managerial staff.

The educational process is carried out in accordance with the national curriculum, and is complemented by numerous extra-curricular classes and interest clubs. We offer students several informal, afterschool activities such as: sports, dance, music, judo, Discoverer Club, theatre, art workshop, etc.

The school life goes on in a peaceful and homely atmosphere, with emphasis on the student encouragement and motivation, so that each student feels settled and eager to learn. Along with the development of gifted children our institution has always been putting special emphasis on, we also support pupils from several dysfunctional families affected by economic and social problems and a number of SEN pupils (mainly with dyslexia, dysgraphia and related problems). Despite being a school with professional staff and enthusiastic children, awarded in numerous local contests, we realise the need to improve our performance regarding the education of gifted pupils. This, we believe is possible on the way of working out in collaboration with partner schools and implementing an effective system of approaching gifted learners at both educational and emotional level to allow their full and complete development. Our aim is to give students effective learning experience and increase their learning motivation.

We have already participated in a LLP Comenius project in 2013 together with schools in Italy, Turkey, Germany and Denmark, and in 20 -2019 in Gifted and Talented Erazmus+ project with Spain, Lituania, Turkey, Estonia. We also participate in numerous projects inside Poland.
